Sunday Public Lecture Series
The New York Theosophical Society
'Sufi Perspectives on Higher Knowledge' by Dr. Stewart Bitkoff
Sunday, March 1, 2009, 3:00 PM
The message has always been the same. We are the ones who have forgotten. The religion is One and humanity has a common Source. Over time, messengers and religious forms vary. This confuses people. The Light is the binding force of the universe and is the mother and father of us all.
Who are the Sufis? What do they have to teach us about life and Ultimate Reality? Guardians of the Light and the original human development system, the Science of Man; experiencing Ultimate Reality or Truth and using this experience and spiritual capacity in daily life.
According to Sufi tradition, St. Frances of Assisi, Roger Bacon and Rumi are just a few of the esteemed followers of the timeless tradition.
Dr. Bitkoff will share some of his experiences in 2 modern day Sufi schools and discuss his book, Journey of Light; Trilogy which presents aspects of these spiritual teachings.
