Place of Chains

by stewart

I grow very weary of the things that bind. Some travelers call them: treasures, responsibilities of life, enjoyments, every day thoughts, and activities of eating and living.

I long to be free again: flying on the wind. Once I was a hawk and another time a dragon. This time, I am a mouse scurrying from room to room- looking for crumbs and stimulation.

Let me shatter this trance, and immerse my self in the River. The River will guide me to my next adventure; leaving this place of self-imposed chains behind. –SB
